![]() ![]() LESS just to compile on save without any work of adding every single less file to a configuration file. I would like to move to newer versions of VS, but I'd really like I am kind of surprised why functionality would be stripped away unless there was a replacement for this addon and I am wondering if there is a new direction for LESS support in visual studio. Many people have been complaining about it for over a year, yet it hasn't changed. Was made difficult just to jump on the bandwagon of the latest javascript based task runner/package manager. Task runner needs to be ran to compile the code. This addon, is inferior to the 2013 version as you have to manually add every LESS file to a configuration file so that will be compiled. The LESS compiling functionality in a new addon titled Web Compiler. ![]() ![]() For VS 2015, Mads Kristensen decided to split up the functionality and put The major reason behind this is because VS 2013 was the last version that supported the web essentials addon that was fully featured. I have been using VS 2013 since its release.
